The result of a collaboration between 6 of California's most talented dance instructors and competitors, Dance Street is a revolutionary new presence in Southern California's dance scene! We have dance lessons available for all levels of dancers; from the basic foundations of movement all the way up to highly competitive ballroom instructions, Dance Street will make your dance dreams come true!

Argentine tango
The Argentine tango has a reputation for being one of the most romantic partner dances. Its intimate embrace-like posture and intricate footwork evoke evenings spent dancing on the cobblestones of Buenos Aires.
Bachata
One of the most popular social dances of the last ten years, the Bachata is a romantic, sexy Latin dance with a distinctive swaying hip action.
Cha cha
Fast and flirtatious, the cha cha is immediately recognizable by its fast hip actions and strong Latin rhythms.
Country Two-Step
This fast, fun and easy dance travels around the dance floor and is danced to Country Western music.
East Coast swing
The East Coast swing is just one of the many variations of swing dance we teach at Dance Street. It's great for mid-tempo Big Band and jazz music.
Formation Team
One of Dance Street's intermediate classes, the formation team is designed for students who want to perform! Entrance into this class requires instructor permission.
Foxtrot
Developed in the early part of the 20th century by a man named Harry Fox, the Foxtrot is characterized by long, flowing actions that travel across the floor. It's most often danced to Big Band music and was made popular by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Hustle
The most iconic dance of the 1970's is a fun and easy social dance well suited to many styles of music. Even the most current dance music fits the hustle's quick turns and rotating steps.
Kid's Classes
Dance Street's classes for kids cover the basic foundations of partner dancing and help foster discipline and good social skills.
Merengue
The merengue is one of the easiest Latin dances to learn. It's marching-style steps and fun upbeat music always get the party started!
Nightclub Two-Step
The nightclub two step was developed right here in Southern California and is perfect for romantic "slow dance" style songs. An excellent choice for wedding dance choreography!
Rumba
Known as one of the most romantic partner dances, the rumba is danced to slow Latin music.
Salsa
Perhaps the most well-known Latin dance, the salsa is one of the most popular social dances in California. There are lots of places to go salsa dancing, and don't let those flashy moves intimidate you - the salsa is an easy and versatile dance to learn.
Samba
Samba is the dance of the Brazilian Carnival and its heavy rhythms and sexy hip action will have you ready to party!
Senior Sundays
Sundays are for seniors at Dance Street! Our senior class covers easy, basic social dances and is followed by an afternoon dance to provide lots of practice.
Swing
The swing is an umbrella term that describes many styles of dance - from the Lindy hop to the Charleston to the Balboa, we'll have you swingin' on the floor in no time!
Tango
While the Argentine tango is the most famous, there are other styles of tango that we teach at Dance Street. You'll want to learn them all!
Viennese Waltz
A fast and elegant dance, the Viennese waltz evokes images of grand ballrooms filled with ladies swirling by in hoop skirts and petticoats.

My fiancé and I took couple of private dancing class for the First dance for our wedding. Nikolai was really talented dancer, he created a romantic and elegant dance for as. And the best part is, all the moves are not very hard, but it looks great! While true mastery of dance takes years of practice, our talented instructors can have you
dancing by the end of your very first class!

Do I need a partner?
ANSWER
Nope! Each of our instructors are equally qualified to teach both leaders and followers. In a
private lesson, your instructor will function as your partner, while in group classes you'll have the opportunity to dance with every dancer in class.
QUESTION
Help! I have two left feet and no rhythm! Can I come to dance class, too?
ANSWER
Of course! Even the most advanced dancers started at the beginning. We can teach any one
how to dance!
QUESTION
What type of class is best for me?
ANSWER
We've found that a combination of group classes, weekly parties and private lessons maximizes the speed of your progression. You'll get one-on-one attention that focuses on your specific needs and goals in your private lessons, you'll increase and practice your skills with other students in group classes, and you'll have a fun, relaxing time socializing with other dancers at our weekly parties!
QUESTION
Do I need special shoes?
ANSWER
Eventually, yes but don't let that stop you from trying ballroom dancing right away! You can
wear any comfortable dress shoes for your first few lessons. Your instructor will help you find and choose the best shoes for you when you've gotten a lesson or two under your belt!

M Gallego
M Gallego discovered her talent for movement and dance at a very young age. She became a
competitive gymnast at age 7 and a competitive belly dancer by age 10. She continued her
dance training throughout her high school years and trained in hip hop, jazz, lyrical and
contemporary styles. Her excellent sense of rhythm served her well in her years as a
percussionist in her high school's marching band, and granted her the opportunity to march in
the 2009 Rose Parade. M's current passion is teaching and choreographing for her students,
with whom she has competed nationally. She loves teaching students of all ages and
specializes in ballroom instruction for children, and Zumba!
Chris Cuenza
Chris Cuenza started dancing at the age of 13 with a group called Kultura Phillipine Folk Arts.
He took up hip hop in 2000 and became the captain of his high school's dance team after only
one year of training. After high school, his talent as a hip hop dancer brought him many varied
and prestigious opportunities. He has worked with many important Southern California dance
companies, including WOR, FLYjinx, PACmodern, SickStep (with whom he had the opportunity
to perform on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance), Expressive Doubt, Boogiezone Breed
Dance Company, GRV, Acadamee of Swagg, and Mix'd Elements. He is currently dancing with
Culture Shock L.A. and serves as the director of their teen division, FSLA. Chris has also
performed with the season 3 winners of America's Best Dance Crew, Quest Crew. Chris'
extensive hip hop background puts a fresh, trendy twist on his ballroom instruction. He
specializes in both American Rhythm and American Smooth styles and enjoys fusing his hip hop
background into all forms of social dance.

Elliot Cristian
Elliot first discovered his passion for dance in a beginning swing class. Just a few short years
later, he has become an accomplished instructor in many styles of dance. Elliot's mission as an
instructor is to show everyone why they need to dance! Whether as a way to connect with
someone special, gain confidence in social events, or to simply know the limits of your own
body, Elliot will show you how to conquer the dance floor with skills you never thought you had!
Marco Forte
Marco Forte began his dance training and performance experience at the South Orange County
School of the Arts. He trained in jazz and contemporary dance, as well as Musical Theatre.
Shortly after, Marco discovered a passion for ballroom dance and has continued to train in all
styles of partner dance. He is an accomplished instructor of American Rhythm and Smooth,
International Latin and Standard, as well Argentine Tango and West Coast swing styles. Marco
is currently a dance major at The University of California Los Angeles, where he is studying
many dance styles and learning to be an even better teacher and choreographer.
Mikhail Avdeev
Mikhail and Olga are one of the top ranking professional Standard ballroom couples in the
world. They have won most of the professional competitions in the United States in their
division and are multiple-time National Professional Ballroom finalists. In addition to being
World, Blackpool, UK and International Professional Ballroom Semifinalists, Mikhail and Olga
are also ranked 3rd in the world in the Professional Classical Showdance category.
Olga Blinova
Mikhail and Olga are one of the top ranking professional Standard ballroom couples in the
world. They have won most of the professional competitions in the United States in their
division and are multiple-time National Professional Ballroom finalists. In addition to being
World, Blackpool, UK and International Professional Ballroom Semifinalists, Mikhail and Olga
are also ranked 3rd in the world in the Professional Classical Showdance category.
Nikolay Voronovich
Ranked in the top 10 dancers in the world for over 4 years, Nikolai and Maria have been
dancing together for 14 years. Nikolai began dancing at age 7 and has extensively studied
Yoga and the Alexander Technique to better understand the human body and its movement at a
fundamental level. Maria began her dance career at age 6 and has over 15 years of experience
as a coach and instructor for both professional and amateur dancers. They currently hold the
title of National Open to the World Latin Champions, are also Professional Latin Blackpool
finalists and USA national medalists.
Maria Nikolishina
Ranked in the top 10 dancers in the world for over 4 years, Nikolai and Maria have been
dancing together for 14 years. Nikolai began dancing at age 7 and has extensively studied

between, if you can name a dance, Sean can teach it!
Laurel Rose
A nationally recognized competitive instructor, Laurel and her students hold multiple Pro-Am
titles, including Top Student awards at some of the biggest ballroom dance competitions in the
United States. Laurel's fifteen years of classical ballet training and twenty years of musical
training lends a uniquely artistic aspect to her instruction. As a proponent of a well-rounded
dance education, Laurel specializes in teaching and coaching all styles of dance.
Teleryck Ianakiev
Teleryck Ianakiev has been dancing for 13 years. He began his dancing career at the age of 12 in Seattle, Washington. He is proficient in both the Latin and ballroom styles, having passed all levels of the syllabus testing. He has competed all around the US as well as Canada and Europe and has trained with many world renowned coaches. He holds the titles of 2004 national Latin and ballroom champion, regional champion 2004 through 2008, 2008 youth ballroom bronze medalist and 2010 and 2011 United States National 10-dance finalist.
